Dear Robyn
3 years ago, you changed my life forever.
For starters, I haven't had a decent sleep ever since that fateful morning (You're still breastfeeding specially at night). I haven't been able to run my business without interruption every few minutes. It felt like I was handed a tenured, 24/7, all around job, which I have no experience on. It was...
the greatest change that ever happened in my entire life!
3 years ago, I lost the liberty to do a lot of things but I gained the privilege to be your mom.
Happy birthday, babe. Daddy and I love you so much. Our whole family loves you. You brought us immense joy when you were born and you never fail to put a smile on our face everyday. I will forever be thankful for you.

Man's Best Friend
Dear Robyn,
Consider having a pet. They're a great companion.
When I was suffering from a painful heartbreak and was embarrassed to talk to anybody, I go to my room and talk to Al, my pet cat. He would just sit on my lap, listen and let out a "meow". He helped me survive the heartbreak and other low points in my life.
Sexy, our dog, never left Mama Luz's side (literally!) when she got sick. When Mama got home after her surgery, Sexy started acting strangely. She became unusually protective of her. I don't know if she smelled blood from Mama's wound but since then, she wouldn't stop barking and scratching the bedroom door until we let her sleep by her bed.
I hope you find your own faithful pet.

I'll Stand by You
Dear Robyn,
I'll stand by you.
When I'm lonely and worried, I talk to you and share what I feel. You would give me a puzzled look and ask me why. After I explained what's bothering me you would say, "It's Ok, mom. Nandito naman ako.", give me a hug and even pat my back. (Seriously, babe. Sometimes, even I can't believe that you're only two years old.) But you're right. As long as I have you, Daddy and our family, it is OK.
In the future when you feel like you're facing the worst of life's challenges, remember that "It's Ok. Nandito naman ako." I'll stand by you. So will your Dad and our family.

My Anna Manalastas
Dear Robyn,
You were never bulol.
And you also talk like an adult, complete with "nga" and "eh". You're like a 40-year old trapped in the body of a 2-year old. You're like Anna Manalastas, a character in 100 days to Heaven. You make me laugh and proud at the same time. I can only think of two words that you can't pronounce properly: "This is" (You say thee is) and "Mitsubishi" (You say Itsy Bitsy")

My Favorite Part of the Day
Dear Robyn,
My favorite part of the day is when we talk before we sleep.
My favorite part of the day is when we talk before we sleep.
Yes, we talk. Like two adults. I ask you things like what's your favorite color and number, I tell you which deeds are considered good and which ones are bad, I ask your opinion about serious stuff (haha!), I share my fears with you and oh yeah, I tell you stories like regular moms do but instead of fairy tales I tell you stories about how daddy and I met and the family tree of my cats.

Life Can Change in an Instant
Dear Robyn,
Life can change in an instant.
I want to tell you countless stories about our lives, to give you lots of tips and advice, to share with you life lessons as I learn them, to explain to you the science behind things, to express how much joy you give us in every little thing you do. I want to tell you these and more. And I'm writing them in this blog now because life can change in an instant.
